Who is the Frontier?

We are a Winnipeg & La Broquerie based non-profit with events across South Eastern Manitoba.

We started as a humble hobby group made up of young adults, but after witnessing the transformative power that community driven events had on our members we incorporated in 2021 as Frontier Events with a mission of using imaginative events to create safe spaces for people to grow, build relationships, connect with nature, and be active.

The Frontier Mission

“Creating alternative forms of physical activity for families, gamers, and nerds of all ages.”

The Frontier Vision

  • Community – create a place for people of all ages and walks of life to find community
  • Family Bonding – provide a space for families to engage in multigenerational play, create lifelong memories, and strengthen familial bonds.
  • Personal Growth – help people grow, using LARP as a vessel to foster understanding and empathy both personally and towards others.
  • Teamwork – focus on the benefits of working together and finding common ground.
  • Achievement – develop practical real world skills, with a measure of tangible progress.
  • Inspiration – cultivate imagination and fun; offering joy, hope, and a reprieve from personal struggles.
  • Exercise – provide a unique and alternate venue to encourage physical activity.
  • Nature – offer an escape from the noise and speed of urban life, to experience the peace and healing found in nature.
